Itinerary
Day 1: Marrakech - High Atlas - Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou - The Dades Gorges:
Pick up from your accommodation in Marrakech, departure to the High Atlas Mountains, crossing 4167m Tichka Pass with stops to enjoy spectacular panoramic views. We will visit the oil co-op ARGAN, where we will discover the unique production process. We will continue towards the fortified village of Ait Ben Haddou where we will visit its famous Kasbah (Declared Heritage of humanity by UNESCO). Here you will see scenes of famous films such as “Game of the Throne”, “Gladiator”, etc. We will stop by Hollywood Africa studio. After we will continue towards the Valley of Roses, in which we will stop for a woman co-operative for rose distillation. Going through the great palm grove of Skoura you reach the Gorges of Dades.
Day 2: The Gorges of Dades - The Gorges of Todra - Merzouga Dunes (Desert):
Then we will travel to Merzouga through 300m high Todra Gorge. The Todra River channel has formed a gorge of vertical walls which is the paradise of the climbers and a unique place. Lunch on road and then passing through the town of Erfoud, very famous for its international dates festival and a fossil town. When we arrive Merzouga, you will be welcomed with mint tea. Our trip continues to the dunes of Merzouga for an hour camel ride then we will reach the dunes of Erg Chebbi. The sunset is spectacular viewed from the dunes. At night, you will have an authentic Berber dinner and enjoy a performance by local Berber musicians. You will spend a magical night in a luxury Berber camp with millions of stars above you.
Day 3: Merzouga - Draa Valley - Anti Atlas - Ouarzazate - Marrakech:
We will wake up before dawn to watch the sunrise in the Great Dune. Then you will have breakfast on the dunes. After breakfast, you can try sandboarding or take some amazing pictures. We will leave for the red city Marrakech. We will pass by Rissani, one of the oldest cities of Morocco and the capital of the Alaouit dynasty. Have a walk in its old and ancient souk. We continue toward the town of Nkob, the first village in the road at the bank of Draa valley until we reach the Draa Valley. We will make several stops to enjoy this beautiful valley that has 7 million palm trees and runs along the longest river in Morocco that bears the same name. We will cross the High Atlas, Tichka Pass, and arrive at Marrakech your hotel in the late afternoon.
